Who is the manager according to the Occupational Safety and Health Law? What are the responsibilities and duties of the manager regarding health and safety issues in the workplace?
The Occupational Safety and Health Law and the regulation on the organization and implementation of occupational safety and health work at workplaces are presented. The importance of the manager being a leader in occupational health and safety work and the safety culture of the workplace will be discussed. We will present what is most important for the manager to know, regarding implementation of occupational health and safety work, risk assessment, registration and reporting of occupational accidents and the three levels of occupational accident prevention. The managers responsibility for the work environment in general will also be covered. Finally, we will discuss briefly the role of managers regarding the mental and social work environment, bullying and harassment.
